Bio:

Borne from a strong desire to aid family and friends through the often stressful and overwhelming college admissions process, Emily formally created Cutler College Counseling, LLC in January of 2018. With her many years of experience working in the college admissions landscape at a small liberal arts college, a culinary institute, mid-sized research university and an Ivy League college, Emily has the professional depth and breadth of experience to guide students and families through their college search. Emily attended Lafayette College, studying psychology and economics before earning a Master of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. After many years on the college side of the admissions process, Emily completed a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting through the University of California - Irvine and the Summer Training Institute through the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Currently, Emily is a candidate for Associate Membership with IECA. When not meeting with clients, Emily attends professional development conferences, researches and visits colleges and universities, as well as reading books, articles, and blogs and listening to podcasts relevant to the college admissions process.

Additionally, Emily has recently guided two of her three children through the college admissions process and has the compassion, insight, and personal experience to make the college admissions process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible for you.

As a member of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC), Emily adheres to the strictest ethical standards of the profession.
